PM Modi to unveil South India's tallest Ram statue in Goa
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil a massive 77-foot bronze statue of Lord Ram in Partagali, Goa, on November 28.
Created by artists Ram Suthar and his son Anil, it will be the tallest Ram statue in South India and cost about ₹15 crore.
The big reveal is part of the 550th anniversary celebrations at Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Mutt.
New tech and big plans for Partagali
Alongside the statue, visitors can check out a new 3D projection mapping system with daily audio-visual shows, plus upcoming features like a Ramayana-themed garden, 3D theater, and museum.
Organizers hope these upgrades—and an expected crowd of over one lakh devotees—will help turn Partagali into a major spiritual tourism spot, with hopes of establishing Partagali as a southern counterpart to Ayodhya on the country's religious tourism map.
