'PoK is like a room in my house': Mohan Bhagwat

India

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat compared Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to a room in India's house taken over by outsiders, saying, "The whole of India is one home, but someone has removed the one room of our house where my table, chair, and clothes used to be kept. They have occupied it."
His call to reclaim PoK got a big round of applause at his event in Satna, Madhya Pradesh.

PoK has been under Pakistani control since 1947

PoK has been under Pakistani control since 1947, though India still considers it part of Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhagwat's comments come as protests in PoK have turned violent recently.
The Indian government has criticized Pakistan for human rights violations there and continues to call PoK "illegally occupied."

Bhagwat's words struck a chord with the audience

Bhagwat's words echoed the official Indian stance and struck a chord with the audience, as indicated by their applause for India's claim over PoK and criticism of Pakistan's hold on the region.
