Pre-Monsoon season intensifies in Rajasthan

India

Rajasthan just got a much-needed break from the scorching heat, thanks to heavy pre-monsoon rains.
Cities like Pilani, Churu, and Jaipur saw impressive rainfall totals, and temperatures have dropped noticeably.
With a low-pressure area moving in from Gujarat, the heatwave is expected to ease up even more.

Monsoon likely to enter southern Rajasthan in next 2 days

The monsoon could hit southern Rajasthan in the next couple of days—IMD says to expect more rain and storms across Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Kota, and Udaipur through June 20.
While cooler weather is welcome news for everyone sweating it out, there's a possibility that heavy rainfall might cause local flooding and affect crops in some areas.
So it's relief now, but folks should stay alert as the monsoon rolls in.
