Prime Minister Modi to induct Dunagiri Agray Sanshodhak in Kolkata
India
India's navy is getting a big upgrade on June 21, as three new homegrown warships will officially join the fleet in Kolkata.
Prime Minister Modi will be there for the induction of Dunagiri (a stealth frigate), Agray (for anti-submarine missions), and Sanshodhak (a survey vessel).
It's a proud moment for Indian naval tech.
New warships feature BrahMos, 75% India-made
All three ships are packed with modern gear: think BrahMos missiles, stealth features, underwater drones, and torpedoes.
With over 75% of their parts made in India and support from more than 200 local businesses, they're a real boost for the Aatmanirbhar Bharat push toward self-reliance.
These additions are set to strengthen India's maritime security and show just how far local defense manufacturing has come.
