Prohibition Constable candidates clash boarding Rajdhani Express at Katihar station
Katihar railway station in Bihar got pretty hectic on Tuesday when hundreds of candidates, fresh from their Prohibition Constable Recruitment Exam, tried to board the Rajdhani Express all at once.
With not enough transport options, many squeezed into reserved coaches, leading to clashes with railway police.
Things escalated when police stepped in to clear the train: protests broke out on the platform and authorities had to use mild force to restore order.
Special trains arranged, order restored
railway DSP AK Akela explained that a sudden wave of examinees from Araria, Kishanganj, and Katihar overwhelmed the station.
To help everyone get home safely, rail officials quickly arranged special trains from Kishanganj and Forbesganj.
Thanks to these efforts, order was restored and the Rajdhani Express left on time.
