Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw made a surprise stop at Anand Vihar Railway Station in Delhi this Saturday, just as Diwali travel was picking up.
He chatted with travelers, checked out the crowd management, and even grabbed a cup of tea using UPI, showing off those Digital India vibes.
Indian Railways deploys 18,000 special trains
Vaishnaw shared that Indian Railways has rolled out about 18,000 special trains to help over 2 crore people get home for Diwali and Pooja.
With platforms packed during Dhanteras and Chhoti Diwali, extra trains are also being planned for Chhath Puja to make sure everyone gets where they need to go, especially toward the eastern sectors.
