Rajnath Singh to spend Diwali with soldiers at Nathu La

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is set to spend Diwali with Indian soldiers at the Nathu La border in Sikkim on November 7 and 8, 2026.
He will also visit the Sherathang War Memorial to honor fallen soldiers.
This gesture shows his ongoing support for troops stationed far from home during festivals.
India China talks as trade resumes
Singh's visit comes as India and China continue talks to keep things calm along the Line of Actual Control, or LAC, especially after recent face-offs reported since July.
There is a bit of good news too: cross-border trade through Nathu La resumed in August after a suspension of more than six years, hinting at slow but steady improvement between the two countries.
