Recreating murder scene in rainy Cherrapunji
Meghalaya police have recreated the crime scene in the shocking honeymoon murder of Raja Raghuvanshi.
He was allegedly killed by hitmen, reportedly hired by his wife Sonam and her boyfriend Raj Kushwaha.
The couple vanished on May 23, and Raghuvanshi's body was found on June 2.
Sonam was later tracked down in Ghazipur, where she confessed to being involved.
Confessions not enough, need solid evidence: Police
Police aren't fully buying the "love triangle" motive yet—contradictory statements from those involved have raised more questions than answers.
Deputy General of Police Idashisha Nongrang said recreating the scene helps check what really happened.
Sonam, Raj, and three alleged hitmen are all in custody for now, but police say they still need solid evidence beyond confessions before anything sticks in court.
