Sabarimala pilgrims stranded as TN-Kerala bus services halted

India

Tamil Nadu's private bus operators have suddenly stopped all services to Kerala after over 30 busses were seized and fined more than ₹70 lakh by Kerala's Transport Department for alleged permit issues.
The crackdown happened mid-journey, leaving many passengers stranded on the way.

Bus owners urge state governments to resolve issue

This move hit Sabarimala pilgrims especially hard during their peak season, with the bookings of 150 busses were canceled and people scrambling for other ways to travel.
Bus owners are urging both state governments to sort things out fast so regular service can resume.
