Sabarimala temple sees record footfall amid tight security

Sabarimala Ayyappa temple in Kerala is seeing a massive surge in visitors this season—over 17 lakh pilgrims have already made the trip, with nearly one lakh arriving just on Friday and another 50,000 by Saturday afternoon.
The rush comes as authorities ramp up security ahead of the Babri Masjid demolition anniversary on December 6.

Extra safety checks and more busses for smooth travel

To keep things safe and organized, Kerala Police and several special forces are on duty, with strict checks in place and late-night access to the famous 18 steps restricted.
Meanwhile, transport has been boosted—Kerala State Road Transport Corporation is running hundreds of extra bus services from central and southern Kerala, making travel smoother for everyone during this busy time.
