Saddam Hussain Fairoz Khan granted bail after almost 15 years

After spending almost 15 years in jail, Saddam Hussain Fairoz Khan, one of the accused in the 2011 Mumbai triple blasts, has been granted bail by a special court.
The judge pointed out that Khan's long wait behind bars and slow trial were key reasons for letting him out now, echoing similar decisions for his co-accused.
Judge terms detention 'extraordinary,' bond ₹1L
The court noted that, even though the trial has seen some progress with more witnesses since April, it was not enough to justify keeping Khan locked up any longer.
The judge called his detention "extraordinary" in length.
As part of his bail conditions, Khan must post a 100,000-rupee bond and check in with authorities every month until the case wraps up.
The blasts back in 2011 tragically killed 27 people and injured 127 people.
