    Every year, students from top B-Schools in India get recruited through campus placements by overseas and domestic companies for jobs with high salary packages. In fact, campus placement records and salary packages are two of the most important factors students often take into consideration while deciding which B-School to join. Here are 5 top B-Schools and salary packages one can expect from them.

    Top companies continue to offer high pay packages at IIM-A

    The prestigious IIM Ahmedabad is undoubtedly among the best institutes for management education in the country. While IIM-A is yet to release the complete 2018 placement report, the average salary for 2018 is reportedly Rs. 24.45 lakh per annum. In 2017, it was Rs 22.58LPA and Rs. 22.14LPA in 2016. So, one can expect an average salary of around Rs. 25LPA from IIM-A.

    Details about salary packages offered to IIM Calcutta students

    IIM Calcutta, which is among the top-rated IIMs, saw the highest CTC offer of Rs. 75 lakh per annum this year. In 2018, the average salary offered was Rs. 24.2LPA while the median salary was Rs. 22LPA. The average pay package in 2017 was Rs. 20LPA. There's been a sharp rise in average salary and students can expect a package of Rs. 24-25LPA.

    IIFT in Delhi had a great 2018 placement season

    Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (Delhi), an autonomous public institute, is another premier Indian B-School. Four students bagged Rs. 1cr package while seven bagged Rs. 52LPA package from international recruiters this year. The highest domestic package was Rs. 29LPA. The average salary in 2018 was Rs. 19.23LPA, Rs. 18.42LPA in 2017, Rs. 18.01LPA in 2016. One can expect an average package of Rs. 20LPA.

    Pay packages at XLRI - Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur

    XLRI, Jamshedpur, a private management school, is one of the country's top-rated B-Schools. While details about the highest 2018 package at the premier institute aren't available yet, the average 2018 salary is Rs. 20.1LPA. In 2017, it was Rs. 19.21LPA and Rs. 18.50LPA in 2016. One can expect Rs. 21LPA or more as there's been a substantial increase in average salary over the years.

    The annual pay packages offered at FMS, Delhi

    Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University is another top B-School which has concluded its 2018 placement season with the highest salary package of Rs. 54 lakh per annum. The average pay package in 2018 was Rs. 21.1LPA, Rs. 20.60LPA in 2017, and Rs. 20.50LPA in 2016. There's been a gradual rise in average salary, and one can expect a Rs. 22LPA package from FMS.
