At the Jharigam court in Odisha, things took a serious turn when Sanmati Majhi allegedly attacked a magistrate, a prosecutor, and a security guard with an iron rod.
The incident happened after court staff asked her to approach APP Pradeep Patnaik first, leaving everyone at the courthouse stunned.
Safety concerns after Odisha court attack
Majhi is reportedly involved in an ongoing domestic dispute and had asked the prosecutor for financial help earlier, saying her husband was not supporting her.
During their conversation, she suddenly lashed out with the rod.
Patnaik was rushed to a hospital for treatment, and the magistrate and security personnel also suffered injuries.
The attack has sparked new worries about safety inside courtrooms in Odisha.
