Short circuit sparks Greater Noida West mall fire, no injuries
India
A fire broke out at a Greater Noida West mall on Friday morning after a short circuit in LED lights around an artificial tree sparked panic.
Luckily, the mall staff jumped in fast and managed to put out the flames before things got worse.
No one was hurt.
Fire department adds 17 engine spots
After this and a recent theater fire, local officials are not taking any chances.
The fire department has set up 17 extra spots for fire engines and has conducted a mock drill.
Mall security has also been instructed to remain alert and inform emergency services in case of any incident, which is all part of making sure everyone stays safe when out and about.
