#CareerBytes: How to hone skills after finishing Class 10?

After finishing their Class-10 exams, students generally have a lot of free time; while it is important to relax, students should utilize this time properly. They should make the most of what they can in their free time. For example, developing new skills or honing their skills can give them an edge over others later on. Here's how students can hone skills after Class-10.

Honing communication skills and soft skills after Class 10

Having good communication skills and soft skills is essential for interacting effectively with others. Honing these skills is very important for students after Class 10. They can join classes for improving communication skills, soft skills, or public speaking skills. There are many online courses for the same which students can join. Also, talking and interacting with people more instead of virtual communication can help.

#2: Improve English language skills, learn foreign languages if possible

Students should also develop their English language communication skills. They can improve these skills by joining online or offline courses. Alternatively, they can practice English speaking, reading, and writing and work on building their vocabulary. Learning foreign languages can also help students later on.

Technology skills and problem solving abilities

In this digital age, technology is all around us. Students should build their tech skills to have an edge over others. They can join online or offline courses and take the help of some free online tutorials too. Also, students should improve their problem-solving abilities. They can join classes that focus on experiential learning; join debate, math or science clubs; practice brain-boosting activities, etc.

Identify passions, career interests and develop skills accordingly

Students should also identify their passions and career interests and develop skills required for the same accordingly. For example, if a student is an engineering or medical aspirant, they can start planning, brush up concepts, and work on their weaknesses. In their free time, they can try new sports, pick up new hobbies, or master new skills.
