Supreme Court advocate asks postponement of NEET UG 2026 re-exam
India
A Supreme Court advocate has asked to postpone the NEET UG 2026 re-exam set for June 21 on behalf of 1,467 students.
The main reason? These students are dealing with extra stress and travel hassles after the re-exam forced them to retake the test.
The petition says it's unfair for them to pay the price for something out of their control.
Students anxious, counseling and travel disrupted
Many students had already wrapped up their preparation and shifted focus to counseling and admissions, so being told to redo the exam has left them anxious and distracted, especially those who did well before.
For rural students, last-minute travel plans are an added headache.
The advocate is asking for a postponement of at least one month so everyone gets a fair shot without extra pressure.
