Supreme Court to hear plea on NEET-UG retest next month
The Supreme Court will take up a plea next month challenging the plan for a NEET-UG retest, after the original May 3 exam was canceled amid allegations of paper leak.
Justice P.S. Narasimha's bench is set to hear the case, which has big implications for students waiting on clarity.
Petition seeks retest stay and security
The petition wants the June 21 retest called off and asks for an interim stay.
It also pushes for better exam security (think encrypted questions, biometric checks, and AI monitoring) to avoid future leaks.
Plus, it calls for an independent expert committee to look into what went wrong at NTA.
CBI probes, PM Modi overseeing measures
The CBI is currently investigating the matter. The court recently stressed that repeated NEET issues need stricter accountability.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta shared that PM Modi is personally overseeing new measures for a fair retest to address students' concerns.
