Tamil Nadu: DMK functionary, 2 others lose lives in separate Salem road accidents

Three people lost their lives in two unrelated road accidents in Salem, Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
Among them was C Nallankiyan, a 60-year-old DMK functionary who was hit by a car while cycling to Gangavalli.
The car reportedly lost control at a speed-breaker.
The driver survived with injuries and was admitted to hospital.

In another accident nearby, U Shajahan (23) and Aravind (27) died after their bike crashed into a parked borewell lorry near Koneripatti bus stop.
Police have launched investigations into both incidents to understand what went wrong.
