Tamil Nadu set for a rainy week: Heavy showers till November 25
Heads up, Tamil Nadu! The Regional Meteorological Centre says heavy rain is on the way for southern and delta districts through November 25.
This wet spell is thanks to a low-pressure area brewing in the Bay of Bengal, which could turn into a depression soon.
The northeast monsoon is also adding to the downpour.
Where's it raining and how much?
Eleven districts—including Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, and Kanniyakumari—are in for especially heavy rain on Saturday.
Coastal and delta areas should expect more intense showers until November 24, with lighter rain likely on November 25.
While overall rainfall this season is just below average (28.4cm vs 30.5cm), some places like Chennai, Tiruppur, and Chengalpattu are still seeing less rain than usual.
If you're in Chennai on Saturday, keep an umbrella handy—light to moderate spells are expected!
