Telangana: Man murdered by mother, aides over drinking, demands
India
A 27-year-old man, Harsha Vardhan, was allegedly strangled to death while he slept at his Panjagutta home on October 9, 2024.
Police say his mother Gangulamma (40) and her aides Ramanjaneyulu (55) and Jakkula Mahender (34), both drivers, carried out the murder together.
Suspects still at large; hunt on
Investigators believe the motive was Vardhan's ongoing drinking and frequent demands for money from his mother.
Gangulamma reportedly planned the act with her aides; she has been living apart from her husband after starting a relationship with Ramanjaneyulu.
As of today (October 11, 2025), all three suspects are still missing, and police are actively searching for them while piecing together what led to the crime.
