Telangana just had a serious temperature drop, with Kohir in Sangareddy hitting a chilly 5.8°C—the lowest in the state between December 11 and 12, 2025.
Even areas around Hyderabad felt the freeze, with Moinabad dipping to 6.0°C.

No district in Telangana saw temperatures above 11°C, showing just how widespread this cold snap is.
Hyderabad's University of Hyderabad recorded 6.3°C, while Uppal was at 7.1°C and Maredpally managed a slightly warmer 10.1°C.
The IMD put out a cold wave alert for 12 districts—including Adilabad and Warangal—but even places not on the list weren't spared from the chill this week.
