An 85-year-old from Thiruvananthapuram has landed in legal trouble after allegedly posting derogatory comments about Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in a WhatsApp group.
A Congress leader filed a complaint on November 4, leading the city's cybercrime police to book Raveendranathan Nair under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act.
Police: Raveendranathan Nair targeted Congress leaders
According to the police report, Nair's messages were meant to target the Congress leaders and were seen by other group members.
