Tragic murder by Nepalese tenant in Shimla

A 56-year-old woman named Santosh was found dead in her Solan, Himachal Pradesh home, allegedly killed by her tenant, Prem, a 36-year-old man from Nepal.
On Sunday, Santosh's son Devender discovered her body and found Prem unconscious in his room after getting no response from him.

Tenant was drunk at the time of murder

Police say Prem was drunk at the time of the murder and tried to take his own life by drinking pesticide afterward. He's currently being treated at a hospital in Shimla.
Prem had been renting there for about a year.
Police have registered a murder case under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation is ongoing to uncover more details.
