Tumkur woman, lover smothered husband to death, then got married
In Tumkur, Karnataka, a woman named Asha and her lover Chandrappa have been arrested for murdering Asha's husband, Paramesh.
Police say the two smothered Paramesh with a pillow while he slept on January 29 and tried to make it look like he died of a heart attack.
Their plan started falling apart when Asha married Chandrappa just 20 days later, which raised eyebrows in the family.
Both Asha and Chandrappa confessed to the murder
Paramesh's sisters noticed marks on his body and filed a complaint.
After police exhumed the body, a postmortem revealed signs of suffocation: clear evidence it wasn't natural causes.
When questioned, both Asha and Chandrappa confessed to the murder.
They're now in custody as the investigation continues, a grim reminder of how domestic violence can turn deadly.
