UP mosque demolished by caretaker following notice
In Sambhal's Chandausi area, the Raza-e-Mustafa Masjid and 33 nearby houses were taken down after officials found they were built on government land without permission.
The mosque management decided to demolish it themselves after getting a notice, aiming to avoid any forced action from authorities.
This move is part of a wider push by local officials to clear out illegal constructions in the district.
We have demolished it ourselves: Mosque management
District Magistrate Rajendra Pensiya led the process, confirming that notices were sent regarding the unauthorized buildings.
Sirajuddin, who looks after the mosque, shared that they took matters into their own hands: "We have demolished it ourselves so that no one has to face any kind of force or action from administration."
The clean-up drive continues as officials focus on reclaiming public land.
