Uttarakhand approves 3% DA hike for state employees to 63%
India
Uttarakhand just approved a 3% Dearness Allowance (DA) hike for its state government employees, starting July 1, 2026.
This bumps the DA up to 63% of basic pay, matching what the central government did recently.
The goal? To help staff keep up with rising prices, especially as inflation bites.
DA hike covers staff, institutions, pensioners
The boost covers not just state employees but also local body staff, aided educational institutions, state universities, technical educational institutions, and those on UGC pay scales.
Everyone eligible will get cash arrears from July through October this year.
Pensioners will see their Dearness Relief too, so their pensions aren't eaten away by inflation.
