Vishakha Tilkar dies by suicide in Ambernath, family alleges harassment

A young woman named Vishakha Tilkar died by suicide in Ambernath, near Mumbai, just weeks after her wedding.
Her family says she faced constant harassment from her husband, Dr. Nitin Tilkar, and his family, including being watched on CCTV cameras at home and pressured to bring more gifts and money.
They also allege she was beaten for small things like talking to a neighbor.
Nitin Tilkar arrested, Chhaya Ninad sought
Vishakha had told her mother about the abuse just days before her death.
Police have now arrested her husband, Nitin, and are searching for his mother, Chhaya, and brother, Ninad, who are also accused.
The investigation is ongoing.
