Woman attempts suicide by driving on railway tracks
A 34-year-old woman in Telangana drove her car for seven kilometers along the railway tracks near Shankarpally, reportedly attempting suicide after losing her IT job and facing a divorce.
Her drive ended when she crashed into a tree, which led to train services being halted and police stepping in.
When officers arrived, she allegedly threw stones at them and tried to resist arrest.
Note found in the car
Police found a note in her car that read "not suicide, but murder."
The woman, who holds a postgraduate degree in biotechnology and had been unemployed for eight months, was taken for a medical checkup before being admitted to a mental health facility for care.
Train services were delayed for about 45 minutes while authorities handled the situation and registered a case under several legal sections.
