World Bank backs Haryana's big clean air push
Haryana just scored $305 million from the World Bank to help clean up its air by 2030.
The massive project, approved after a meeting between Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and World Bank officials, will cost over ₹3,600 crore in total—with the state pitching in ₹1,065 crore.
The goal? Make Haryana a pollution-free zone for everyone who calls it home.
How the money will be used
The plan covers everything from rolling out 500 electric busses in cities like Gurugram and Faridabad to building 200 EV charging stations and boosting electric three-wheelers.
There's also big investment for cleaner factories (think Piped Natural Gas and emission monitoring) and smarter farming practices to cut pollution.
All of this will be managed by a special team called ARJUN to keep things on track.
