Wyndham to open 100 new hotels across India this year

India

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is making a big move in India, on track to reach 100 hotels in India by the end of the year.
They're focusing on Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities—places where branded hotels are still pretty rare (just one for every 3,000 people here, compared to one per 400 in the US).
The push comes as more Indians look for quality stays outside major metros.

Why this matters: growth, local focus, and going green

Wyndham's strategy is all about reaching up-and-coming cities and popular religious destinations like Ayodhya and Bodh Gaya.
Their recent launch of Wyndham Grand Udaipur shows they're serious about luxury too.
Plus, they're adding EV charging stations at future hotels as part of their sustainability plans.
As Rahool Macarius from Wyndham put it, they're "on track" for that 100th hotel milestone this year—so expect more comfy stays (and greener options) soon!
