    What's the story

Kawasaki Motors India has launched the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 650 in India.

Priced at Rs. 5.69 lakh, the bike will be available in Black and KRT (Kawasaki Racing Team) color schemes.

The 2019 Ninja 650 is quite identical to the 2018 model except for some cosmetic changes.

Notably, the deliveries for the motorcycle will start in one month's time.

    Here are the finer details.

    Styling

    2019 Kawasaki Ninja 650: At a glance

The 2019 Ninja 650 borrowed some styling from the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

The bike comes with a lower split-type seat as against the single seat seen on the outgoing model.

You also get the iconic split headlights, an analog dial and a digital speedometer in the instrument panel.

This model is about 22kg lighter than its predecessor, giving the bike a better power-to-weight ratio.

    Do you know?

The 2019 model will not be offered in Blue color

Back in January, Kawasaki India introduced a Blue color variant for the current Ninja 650 model. However, the company has said the Blue scheme will not be available on the 2019 model and that it will sell the 2018 model in blue until stocks last.

    Engine and Power

    Under the hood

The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is powered by the same engine seen on the 2018 model.

Hence you get a 649 cc, parallel-twin engine which generates a power of 67bhp at 8,000rpm and 65.7Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.

The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a standard assist and slipper clutch.

Moreover, you also get ABS as a standard feature.

    Information

Braking power and Suspension on the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 650

This touring motorcycle is built on a Trellis high-tensile steel frame. The bike comes with 41mm telescopic front forks and 7-step adjustable mono suspension at the rear. For braking power, the 2019 Ninja 650 gets 300mm dual-disc up front and 220mm single petal rear disc.
