Initial setup

Unboxing and charging your device

The Paytm Soundbox package comes with the device, a SIM card for connectivity, a charging cable with an adapter, and a user manual. You also get an all-in-one QR sticker for your shop. First, plug the device into a power source using the provided cable and adapter to fully charge it. The red light means it's charging.

Activation process

Activating your Paytm Soundbox

To activate your Paytm Soundbox, locate and open the SIM cabinet at the bottom of the device. Insert the supplied SIM card. Press and hold the power button for two seconds until you see a yellow blinking light and a "connecting Paytm" message on the screen. Wait until the light turns blue. This indicates that the activation is successful.

Linking Soundbox with your merchant account

To connect your Paytm QR code with the soundbox, access the Paytm for Business app on your Android device. Locate QR code options, typically in the upper right corner. Scroll to locate Activate Your QR Code. Scan your QR code to associate it with your merchant account. A confirmation message will confirm successful linkage.

Using the device

Utilizing your device effectively

Once configured, the soundbox broadcasts successful payments made through your linked PayTM QR code. It simply says "Received Rs X." To hear the latest transaction details, press the function button once; double pressing it will give you a summary of all transactions for the day. This integration improves operational efficiency and the customer payment experience, eliminating the need for further assistance after setup.
