He has played 17 Tests (28 innings) at this ground and scored an impressive 1,538 runs with an average of 64.08, as per ESPNcricinfo. His record includes five centuries and six half-centuries. Notably, he also has two double-centuries on this ground, with a highest score of an unbeaten 242.

Williamson's average of 64.08 in Wellington is only second to that of Martin Crowe (70.18) among batters with 1,000-plus runs here. The former's tally of five Test tons here is the joint-third-most for any NZ batter at a particular venue. The Seddon Park in Hamilton is the only other venue that has seen Williamson smash multiple Test double-tons (2).
