What's the story

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is set to witness another exciting clash as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match No. 10. The high-voltage encounter will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, April 5. While LSG lost their only game this season, SRH won their second match after losing their opener. Here we look at why LSG can dominate the Orange Army in the forthcoming game.

Team performance

SRH's bowling remains a concern

Sunrisers Hyderabad started their IPL 2026 campaign with a loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. However, they bounced back strongly by beating Kolkata Knight Riders in their last outing. They posted 226/8 against KKR. Though SRH have arguably the most formidable batting line-up this season, their bowling attack is one of the weakest. As a result, they failed to defend 200-plus runs against RCB. Even against KKR, SRH conceded 74 runs in the powerplay.

Team performance

LSG look more balanced on paper

Despite having star players, LSG were bowled out for 141 against Delhi Capitals. However, this can be considered as a rare off day as dashers like Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, and skipper Rishabh Pant form the team's top four. Moreover, their bowlers, led by Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav, took four powerplay wickets against DC. These attributes make LSG a far more balanced team than the Sunrisers.
