IPL 2026: SRH captain Ishan Kishan highlights areas of concern
What's the story
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) clinched their first victory of the IPL 2026 season with a comprehensive 65-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday. Despite the dominant performance, SRH's stand-in captain Ishan Kishan highlighted some areas that need improvement, particularly fielding and bowling discipline. Kishan stressed that conceding extra runs could hinder their chances of winning the title after a decade.
Team focus
Fielding is an area, says Kishan
Kishan said, "I think we are getting to know about the areas with each game. Fielding is an area. We can't give 20 runs in extras. We'll work on it as a team." The statement came during the post-match presentation after SRH's victory over KKR. Despite his own lackluster performance with the bat, Kishan was pleased with his team's overall commitment and energy during the match.
