Sri Lanka's Matheesha Pathirana ruled out of Pakistan T20I tri-series
What's the story
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced the squads for their upcoming tour of Pakistan, which includes a three-match ODI series and a T20I tri-series also involving Zimbabwe. However, Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana has been ruled out of the T20I squad due to an upper respiratory tract infection. The ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will start on November 11 in Rawalpindi, while the tri-series will kick off on November 17.

Five changes in the T20I squad
Pathirana's place in the T20I squad has been taken by Asitha Fernando. The former has been SL's mainstay pacer, taking 31 wickets at 18.25. Nuwanidu Fernando, Dunith Wellalage, Chamika Karunaratne, and Binura Fernando have been replaced by Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Janith Liyanage, Dushan Hemantha, and Eshan Malinga, respectively. Charith Asalanka will lead both white-ball squads. The ODI side also features Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Jeffrey Vandersay, Dushmantha Chameera, Asitha Fernando, Pramod Madushan, and Eshan Malinga.
