What's the story

India A registered a comfortable 38-run victory over the USA in their 2026 ICC T20 World Cup warm-up match in Navi Mumbai. The win was largely due to Narayan Jagadeesan's blistering century (104 off 55 balls) and Ayush Badoni's quickfire half-century (60 off 26 balls). Tilak Varma also made an impact on his return from testicular surgery, scoring 38 runs off just 24 deliveries. The USA earlier won the toss and elected to field first.

Player highlights

Partnership between Jagadeesan and Varma

Varma, who had missed India's last T20I series against New Zealand due to surgery, was picked for the first of India A's two warm-up matches. His 24-ball 38 at No. 3 had 3 fours and 2 sixes. He came in after Priyansh Arya and N Jagadeesan added 43 runs for the opening wicket. Jagadeesan and Varma then stitched a 113-run partnership in just over nine overs.
