    India beat Bangladesh in match number 22 of the 2022 ICC Women's World Cup at Seddon Park, Hamilton. They successfully defended 229, bowling out Bangladesh for 119. Sneh Rana starred for India with a four-wicket haul. Earlier, Yastika Bhatia scored a match-defining 50 off 80 balls. India Women have claimed their third win of the ongoing tournament.     How did the match pan out?

    Smriti Mandhana (30) and Shafali Verma (42) added 74 runs after India elected to bat. After the first hour, India lost three quick wickets in the space of five wickets. Skipper Mithali Raj returned for a golden duck. Yastika Bhatia's 50 and vital contributions from the lower order helped India post 229/7. Bangladesh faltered in the run-chase, perishing on 119.

    India maintain their unbeaten run against Bangladesh, having won their fifth consecutive ODI. It was India's third victory in the ongoing Women's World Cup. They earlier recorded wins against Pakistan and West Indies. India are now third on the points table.

    Bhatia, Vastrakar shone for India

    Top-order batter Yastika Bhatia was adjudged the Player of the Match. She scored 50 off 80 deliveries with the help of 2 fours. Bhatia slammed her third half-century in ODI cricket. Pooja Vastrakar showed her all-round exploits, having scored an unbeaten 30 off 33 balls. Vastrakar also took two wickets in the second innings (2/26 in six overs).

    Best ODI bowling figures for Sneh Rana

    Off-spinner Sneh Rana was the pick of India's bowlers. She snapped up four wickets for 30 runs in 10 overs (two maidens). It was her best bowling figures in ODI cricket. Notably, three of her top four figures came this month. Her compatriot Rajeshwari Gayakwad gave away just 15 runs in 10 overs (four maidens). She also picked a solitary wicket.
