What's the story

In an attempt to meet the stringent emission norms, Suzuki has launched the BS6-ready version of its cruiser, the Intruder, in India. The motorcycle retains the design and underpinnings of the BS4 model, while offering an updated engine. It is priced at Rs. 1.20 lakh in the country. Here are more details.

Design

BS6 Suzuki Intruder: At a glance

The BS6-compliant Suzuki Intruder sports a similar, old-school design as the outgoing model. It comes with a semi-faired look, a comfortable riding position, and a triangular headlamp unit. The cruiser runs on blacked-out alloy wheels and is approximately 3kg heavier than its BS4 sibling. Further, the motorcycle is offered in three dual-tone color options.

Information

Power and performance

The new Suzuki Intruder is fueled by a BS6-compliant 155cc fuel-injected, air-cooled engine that comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The motor is capable of producing 13.6PS of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 13.8Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.

Safety

What about safety and suspension setup?

In the safety department, the Suzuki Intruder comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with single-channel ABS for better grip on the road. The suspension duties on the cruiser are managed by conventional telescopic forks up front and a swing arm unit on the rear.

And, here's a look at the pricing
