Suzuki Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational corporation headquartered in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan. Michio Suzuki, in 1909, started the Suzuki Loom Works where it built weaving looms. In 1937, the company began working on cars and had developed several compact prototypes within two years. The automaker, in 2003, took over the Indian automotive manufacturer, Maruti Udyog Limited, which is now called Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
