    What's the story

With the mandatory BS6 deadline just around the corner, several Indian automakers are offering hefty discounts on their BS4 models to clear the left-over stock.

As part of the exercise, a Mumbai-based Ducati dealership is offering the flagship Multistrada 1200 Enduro at an on-road price of Rs. 16 lakh. To recall, the off-roader was launched at Rs. 17.44 lakh (ex-showroom).

    Here's our roundup.

    Design

What does the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro offer

The Multistrada 1200 Enduro sits on a tubular steel trellis frame and features an angular-looking front apron, muscular fuel tank, stepped-up seat, and an attractive paint job as well as graphics work.

The tires, skid plates, and decent ground clearance make it suitable for off-roading purposes.

Further, it houses a digital instrument cluster and all-LED fitments for lighting.

    Information

    Power and performance

The BS4 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro is fueled by a 1,198cc L-Twin, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a slipper clutch. The motor is capable of producing 162hp of maximum power and 136Nm of peak torque.

    Safety

What about safety and suspension setup?

In the safety department, the Multistrada 1200 Enduro comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear ends.

It also gets several driver-centric features including cornering ABS, hill-hold control, traction control, and Ducati Wheelie control for improved road handling.

The suspension duties on the motorcycle are managed by Ohlins' fully-adjustable inverted forks up front and a single-sided swingarm unit on the rear.

    Details

    Pricing and availability

Notably, the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro is an old model and the company is offering heavy discounts to clear the left-over inventory.

That said, the Italian automaker has already introduced its successor, the Multistrada 1260 Enduro. The updated motorcycle is priced at Rs. 19.99 lakh in the country.
