Ferrari SC40 arrives as a stylish one-off V6 supercar
What's the story
Ferrari has unveiled the SC40, a one-off model inspired by the iconic F40. The SC40 pays homage to the sharp, angular lines of its predecessor while introducing a unique identity. It is based on the 296 GTB and features a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with hybrid assistance, producing an impressive 819hp and capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds.
Exterior
What about the design?
The SC40's design is a modern interpretation of the F40, with its long nose and fixed rear wing. However, the headlights are integrated into the lower air intake instead of sitting on top like in the original model. The front bumper features an intake that spans its entire width, while side air intakes have been reimagined for this new model.
Interior
A look at the inside
The interior of the SC40 features Kevlar in the footwells, behind the seats, floor mats, steering wheel, dashboard inserts, engine bay and frunk. Alcantara is also used in some places. The entire car is finished in a color called SC40 White. Ferrari said that "the name pays homage to F40," which was unveiled in July 1987.
