  • Hyundai is working to launch the Elantra facelift in India sometime around the end of this month.

    Unveiled in 2018, the new variant comes with a bunch of design as well as interior updates, while retaining the mechanical specifications of the standard model.

    However, in India, the upcoming sedan will be offered only with a petrol-powered BS6-compliant engine, according to Autocar.

  • The 2019 Hyundai Elantra comes with a bunch of design updates including revamped front and rear bumpers, cascading grille, redesigned tail gate, and new alloy wheels.

    For lighting, the sedan houses triangular LED headlamps with DRLs, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and LED taillights.

    Further, it offers a wheelbase of 2,700mm and a boot space of 420 liters.

  • Inside, the Elantra facelift sports a five-seater cabin with a panoramic sunroof, redesigned seats, updated AC vents, and a new multifunctional steering wheel that we have seen on Hyundai Kona.

    The sedan also offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with BlueLink connected car technology.

    Moreover, it gets wireless charging support, keyless ignition, and climate control feature.

  • In India, the Hyundai Elantra facelift will pack a BS6-compliant 2.0-liter petrol engine which is capable of producing 150bhp of maximum power and 192Nm of peak torque. This engine will come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard along with an optional automatic transmission.

  • On the safety front, the Hyundai Elantra facelift comes equipped with disc brakes on both wheels along with ABS and EBD for better road handling.

    The sedan offers up to six airbags, front seat belt warning and a speed alert system.

    It also sports a 360-degree camera, front as well as rear sensors, and a rear view camera for parking assistance.

  • As far as pricing is concerned, the Hyundai Elantra facelift could be priced in Rs. 14-19 lakh price bracket. However, official details will be revealed during the launch event which is likely to happen soon.
