Leak reveals India-specific 2022 KTM RC 390's specifications

Austrian automaker KTM is gearing up to launch the 2022 iteration of the RC 390 in India. In the latest development, the specifications of the India-bound bike have been leaked. As per the leak, the two-wheeler will retain the 373.27cc engine that generates a maximum power of 42.9hp at 9,000rpm. It may not, however, get the adjustable front forks listed on the official website.

KTM has been tight-lipped about the launch of the 2022 RC 390. The company is expected to announce it soon after the arrival of the 2022 390 Adventure. The new RC 390 will certainly attract Indian buyers with its good looks and bevy of features. Even performance-wise, the bike is no slouch and will turn up the heat in the segment.

Design

The motorcycle sports a redesigned tail section

The 2022 KTM RC 390 sits on a steel trellis frame and features a muscular fuel tank, a raised transparent windscreen, a side-slung exhaust, fairing-mounted mirrors, a redesigned tail section, an updated turn indicator setup, and a single-pod headlight. The motorbike houses an all-LED lighting system, a TFT instrument console, and rides on blacked-out alloy wheels. It can store 13.7-liter of fuel.

The bike runs on a 43hp, 373cc engine

The 2022 KTM RC 390 draws power from a 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 42.9hp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 37Nm at 7,000rpm. The motor is linked to a 6-speed gearbox.

Safety

It has dual-channel ABS for safety

To ensure the safety of the rider, the new KTM RC 390 is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with cornering ABS and traction control for improved handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the motorbike are handled by 43mm WP APEX forks on the front end and a mono-shock unit on the rear side.

2022 KTM RC 390: Pricing

KTM will disclose the official pricing of the 2022 RC 390 in India at the time of its launch. However, it will carry a premium over the outgoing model which is priced at Rs. 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
