Jawa Perak's deliveries will commence in India from July 20

Jawa Motorcycles India has revealed the delivery date of the Perak via a rather cryptic tweet. In its post, the automaker has shared three images, which when put together, reveal that the deliveries of the Bobber-styled cruiser will commence from July 20, 2020. To recall, the release of the Perak was postponed in March this year due to the COVID-19 induced lockdown.
Its birth under a veil of secrecy formed a habit that’s hard to break. Even today, it holds its cards close – visible only to those sharp of eye and keen of mind.

The BS6 Jawa Perak features an old-school bobber design that sits on a double cradle tubular frame with a round-shaped halogen headlight and retro-styled indicators. The instrument cluster is a single pod unit with a straight handlebar that holds the rear-view mirrors. It also features a single low-slung seat with an integrated LED taillight and a long swingarm that accentuates the bobber image.
The Jawa Perak is powered by a BS6-compliant 334cc liquid-cooled, DOHC single-cylinder engine that comes paired with a manual 6-speed gearbox. The motor generates a maximum power of 30hp and a peak torque of 31Nm.
The BS6 Jawa Perak comes equipped with disc brakes on the front as well as on the rear wheels. For additional safety, it offers dual-channel ABS. Moreover, the suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by a telescopic hydraulic fork on the front side and a mono-shock absorber at the rear.
The Jawa Perak can be booked online by depositing a token amount of Rs. 10,000. In terms of pricing, the cruiser starts at Rs. 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom). In India, it takes on the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Benelli Imperiale 400.
