Mini Cooper S Convertible sells out in a day
The Mini Cooper S Convertible, launched by Mini India at ₹58.50 lakh (ex-showroom), sold out its first batch within just 24 hours.
Thanks to the buzz, dealers are now taking pre-orders for a second batch expected to arrive in early 2026.
What's under the hood?
This convertible packs a punch with its 2.0L turbo-petrol engine putting out 204hp and 300Nm of torque.
It sprints from 0-100km/h in just 6.9 seconds, has a seven-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox, and features an electric soft-top you can open or close in under 20 seconds—even while driving up to 30km/h.
Tech & comfort highlights
Inside, you get a futuristic vibe: there's a circular OLED touchscreen (9.4-inch) with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus extras like a head-up display, Harman Kardon audio, and even a massaging driver's seat for those longer drives.
Why is everyone talking about it?
As India's most affordable convertible in the ₹50-60 lakh range, it's clearly hit the sweet spot for car enthusiasts—mirroring recent sell-outs of sporty models like the Skoda Octavia RS and VW Golf GTI.
If you want something fun that stands out from typical SUVs, this one might be worth keeping an eye on!
