SKODA OCTAVIA PRO makes global debut: Details here
Czech automaker SKODA has introduced a long wheelbase model of its OCTAVIA sedan in China, called the OCTAVIA PRO. As for the key highlights, it retains the design and features of the standard model while having an increased overall length and wheelbase. Under the hood, the PRO model is equipped with a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine. Here's our roundup.
The SKODA OCTAVIA PRO features a sloping roofline, chrome-surrounded grille with vertical slats, a muscular bonnet, sleek LED headlights, cornering fog lamps, and LED taillights. On the sides, it is flanked by indicator-mounted ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, and 18-inch alloy wheels. In comparison to the standard OCTAVIA, the PRO version is 64mm longer at 4,753mm and has a 44mm longer wheelbase at 2,730mm.
The SKODA OCTAVIA PRO draws power from a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol mill that delivers 148hp of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque. For transmission duties, the motor is paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The OCTAVIA PRO offers a spacious cabin with increased leg space thanks to the longer wheelbase. It has heated and ventilated front row seats, a sunroof, and a powered tailgate. The car also packs a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster (optional) and a 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety features include lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
The pricing and availability details of the SKODA OCTAVIA PRO have not been announced as of now. However, it should demand some premium over the standard model, which costs Rs. 36 lakh (ex-showroom).
