  • In an attempt to push sales, Tata Motors has announced a limited-period discount on the petrol-powered XE variant of its entry-level sedan, the Zest.

    The automaker is offering a massive Rs. 1 lakh discount along with a cashback of upto Rs. 25,000 via Paytm to bring the effective price of the base model down to Rs. 4.57 lakh (ex-showroom).

  • Interested buyers can book the Tata Zest model via Paytm at a token amount of Rs. 50,000. In order to avail the cashback offer, you will have to use promo codes 'Zest18000' and 'Zest25000' to get a cashback of Rs. 18,000 and Rs. 25,000, respectively.

    According to the terms and conditions of the offer, the booking amount is non-refundable.

  • The cashback benefit of upto Rs. 25,000 will be credited in the form of coupons and some cashback amount.

    As part of the offer, Rs. 15,000 will be offered as cashback while the remaining amount will be provided in the form of coupons that can be redeemed against electricity bills, movie tickets, flight tickets, and shopping via Paytm Mall.

  • The Tata Zest features a minimalistic look with a slightly raised ground clearance, blacked-out B-pillars, and 15-inch sporty-looking alloy wheels.

    The car sports a cascading grille with honeycomb patterns, trapezoidal air-intake, body-colored door handles, and indicator-mounted ORVMs.

    Apart from that, it houses projector headlamps with LED DRLs, turn indicators, and LED taillights.

  • Inside, the Tata Zest sports a five-seater cabin with fabric upholstery and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel.

    The car gets a Harman-sourced 5-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with voice command recognition, and an eight-speaker audio system.

    Furthermore, it comes with standard safety features like dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, speed-sensing auto door locks, reverse parking sensors, and more.

  • The Tata Zest is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine which comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. This unit is capable of producing 88.7bhp of maximum power and 140Nm of peak torque. Further, the car also promises an ARAI-certified mileage of 22.95kmpl.

  • With the latest price revision, the Tata Zest XE is now up for grabs at Rs. 4.57 lakh as against its previous price of Rs. 5.82 lakh, (all prices ex-showroom).

    At this price point, the car goes up against rivals such as Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Volkswagen Ameo, Honda Amaze, and Hyundai Xcent.
