Adani Green Energy activates 1.37 GWh BESS at Khavda Gujarat
Business
Adani Green Energy has switched on a massive 1.37 GWh battery system at its Khavda renewable plant in Gujarat.
This tech helps store solar and wind energy, so power is available even when the sun isn't shining or the wind isn't blowing, especially handy during nighttime peaks.
The 3.37 GWh BESS can store enough energy for 1 million homes for a day and cuts down on wasted energy.
Adani plans 5-6 GW renewables annually
Khavda is set to become an even bigger clean energy hub, with Adani planning to add 5 to 6 GW of solar and wind every year, and another 10 GWh of battery storage soon.
They're also looking into making batteries in the future, which could mean more reliable green power for everyone as demand grows.
