Adani Group and Embraer to build regional jets in Dholera
Adani Group and Brazil's Embraer are setting up a regional jet assembly line in Dholera, Gujarat.
This collaboration aims to boost India's aircraft manufacturing, with the deal signed back in January 2026.
The project will support India's Regional Transport Aircraft (RTA) program.
Assembly project supports UDAN and Aatmanirbhar
Dholera Special Investment Region, a planned smart city near Ahmedabad, was chosen for its strategic location.
The move lines up with India's push for self-reliance (Aatmanirbhar Bharat) and better regional air connectivity through the UDAN scheme.
Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO Arjan Meijer called India "India is the biggest market around the world, with well over a billion people, with a travel propensity which is very low. ", pointing to rising demand for air travel here.
With nearly 50 Embraer planes already flying in India, this new facility could be a big step toward making more jets locally.
